Athletics

   The Capitol School reinstated its athletics program in the fall of 2013. Our school partners with coaches and sports facilities around the cities of Tuscaloosa and Northport to provide our students with outstanding sports instruction and opportunities.

   Currently, we offer competitive athletic activities in the following sports:

Girls

  • Volleyball
  • Cross Country
  • Tennis
  • Golf
  • Bowling
  • Track and Field

Boys

  • Cross Country
  • Tennis
  • Golf
  • Bowling
  • Track and Field

:The Capitol School is a member of the Alabama Independent Schools Association (AISA), and follows strict guidelines for athletic eligibility.  Sports opportunities at the high school level include the following:
  • Fall (August-October):  Cross Country, Volleyball
  • Winter (November-January):Bowling (Club)
  • Spring (February-May):  Golf, Tennis, Track/Field
PLEASE NOTE: Sports’ Teams will be created based on the number of boys and girls who join each team.
