Faculty - Expert Teachers

Suzuki Violin, Chinese

Mrs. Yang Zhao has taught violin classes to grades 2-12 at the Capitol School since 2007. She uses the Suzuki method in small groups of 3 or 4 students. Mrs. Zhao received her B.A. specializing in viola from Jilin College of Arts, Changchun, China in 1985. She came to the United States in 1989, and moved to Tuscaloosa in 1994. Since then, she has been teaching Suzuki violin at the Community Music School, University of Alabama. Mrs. Zhao is the co-founder of the Chinese program at The Capitol School that draws Chinese speaking interns from Hung Kuang University in Taiwan.
