Description: In this class I will work with your kids to develop safe and delicious cooking techniques from around the world! They will learn the basics of creative cooking as well as some more complex recipes!

I plan our daily food theme around a new country each day. We will learn a little about the history of the country and the culture surrounding their art and food. I am very excited to work with this older group of students so we can learn some more advanced recipes and cooking skills. Students will use math, critical thinking and reading skills learning to follow, adjust and convert recipes. They will learn about the science of food and why different techniques yield different results. Your Middle Schooler will gain a lot of kitchen confidence learning about culinary techniques, the importance of clean-up, and food handling safety that will allow them to be more independent in the kitchen!
