Description:

Get ready to rock this summer! In Rock Stars: A Geology Adventure, curious kids ages 7–9 will dig, discover, and explore the incredible world beneath their feet. Over two action-packed weeks, students will become real-life rock stars as they investigate rocks, minerals, fossils, volcanoes, and Earth-shaping forces through hands-on experiments, games, and creative projects.

Young geologists will crack open geodes, identify dazzling minerals, build mini landforms, and learn how earthquakes and volcanoes change our planet—all while having a blast. Every day brings a new adventure, plenty of movement, and lots of “wow!” moments that spark curiosity and confidence.

Perfect for kids who love to explore, ask big questions, and get their hands a little dirty, this class turns science into an unforgettable summer experience. No textbooks—just discovery, teamwork, and tons of fun. Come ready to explore. Leave as a certified Rock Star!

Teacher Bio:

Mrs. Lauren Amundson is a Tuscaloosa native. She graduated from the University of Alabama in May of 2013 with a B.S. in Elementary Education.
