In this fun and interactive camp, young learners will explore the basics of money through hands-on play and real-world scenarios. Campers will learn to identify coins and bills, count money, and practice simple buying and selling skills. Each day includes engaging activities like running a pretend store, sorting and counting coins, playing “banker,” and using money in math games. This camp builds confidence in early financial literacy while keeping learning playful and exciting for K–1 students!
Teacher Bio:
Jennifer Nad has been an educator for the past ten years, teaching toddlers and four-year-olds, as well as special education students in a self-contained classroom. She is the lead teacher of our 5-7 Year old cluster. Jennifer is a 2012 graduate of Capitol School and went on to earn her undergraduate degree in early childhood and elementary education from Jacksonville State University. She furthered her education at the University of West Alabama, where she earned three master's degrees in elementary education, special education, and learning, design, and technology. She also holds an Educational Specialist degree in special education and a teaching certificate in German.
Originally from Germany, Jennifer moved to the United States in 2004 and has called it home ever since.

Note: This cost is for the registration fee only. You must pay the balance of the total camp cost by the first day of camp. Information will be provided in your receipt or you can pay here: se2026_sc_balance. You should also receive an email a week prior to the start of camp with payment information. You may also pay in the office.
