Session 4 2025 MS PM: Middle School Math Prep

Description: The class is intended for rising 6th graders to help them get comfortable and confident in the math that will show up in middle school, including familiarity with decimals, fractions, negative numbers, and divisibility. However, students who are already in middle school should also get a lot out of the class! Students who have already seen topics we are covering will have the opportunity to understand them in a deeper way.
Class begins weekdays at 1:00. and lasts until 5:00 We will take several breaks, and students are encouraged to bring a snack. We will meet in the upstairs of the library building at the Capitol School.
Teacher Bio: Daniel Shankman is the math teacher for grades 6-12 at the Capitol School. He taught university mathematics for 7 years and holds a PhD in math from Purdue University.
Please fill out all information for each child's first registration. For additional registrations, you only have to complete the required information.
Note: This cost is for the registration fee only. You must pay the balance of the total camp cost by the first day of camp. Information will be provided in your receipt or you can pay here: se2025_sc_balance. You should also receive an email a week prior to the start of camp with payment information. You may also pay in the office.
