Description:
Pack your gear and get ready for an adventure! In Survival Scouts, campers will learn vital outdoor survival skills, from building shelters to starting fires and navigating through the wilderness. They’ll practice using a compass, learn about safe food gathering, and explore the basics of first aid. Each day is filled with exciting challenges, teamwork activities, and outdoor exploration, all designed to foster resilience, independence, and a love of nature. Whether they’re out on a nature hike or solving survival puzzles, campers will gain skills they’ll use for life.
Teacher Bio: Mrs. LaReau has spent the past year as the Lead Toddler Teacher and Afternoon Explorations Teacher at The Capitol School. Over the last two years, she has also had the opportunity to co-teach across a range of grade levels, from Preschool to 5th grade. She holds a certification in Early Childhood Development and is nearing completion of her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. LaReau is a proud mother of two children, both of whom attend The Capitol School.
