Description:
Learn all about the rich world of music and art around the world. From music like the classical composers to different cultures sing along songs. We will explore making musical instruments from around the world like rain-stick and Japanese hand drums. We will look at Art from all over the world and create some wonderful artwork of our own. Your preschooler will have a blast with activities introducing early music concepts, like rhythm, echoing and tempo! Each day we will explore the art, music, instruments and dances of different cultures. The children will learn about the science of sound and get to experiment with real musical instruments to try out like the marimba, piano, guitar and violin. Engage your child’s love of art, movement and imaginative play while dancing to great music. $15 fee
Teacher Bio: Mrs. Kaitlin Redborg has been teaching in the summer program for 10 years. She is the Art teacher for grades K-12 and she is currently a Co-teacher in the Freeman cluster in the Montessori preschool program. She has an M.F.A in Printmaking Studio Arts from The University of Delaware and a B.A in Studio Art and a B.A in Art History from Lawrence University. She has studied art in Florence, Italy and Chicago, with internships in New York, NY. She has taught art at the college level and high school summer college for drawing. Kaitlin has cooked professionally in the past and loves to teach children about cooking. She loves sharing her passion for Science, art, cooking and storytelling with her students.
Please fill out all information for each child's first registration. For additional registrations, you only have to complete the required information.
Note: This cost is for the registration fee only. You must pay the balance of the total camp cost by the first day of camp. Information will be provided in your receipt or you can pay here: se2025_sc_balance. You should also receive an email a week prior to the start of camp with payment information. You may also pay in the office.
