Description:
If your child loves animals, this is the perfect camp for them! During Animal Care, , students will gain hands-on experience caring for a variety of animals. From feeding and grooming to learning about animal behavior and habitats, they’ll become animal experts in no time. This camp emphasizes empathy, responsibility, and kindness toward animals, while teaching kids the importance of conservation and wildlife protection. Whether they’re helping out at local shelters or learning how to care for pets, kids will walk away with a new sense of confidence and a love for animals. On the last day of camp, we will be going to Birmingham Zoo Snooze, this will be an overnight experience to explore the nocturnal animals of the zoo. We will arrive back home on the 21st. The $30 will cover all expenses for the trip!
Teacher Bio: Mrs. LaReau has spent the past year as the Lead Toddler Teacher and Afternoon Explorations Teacher at The Capitol School. Over the last two years, she has also had the opportunity to co-teach across a range of grade levels, from Preschool to 5th grade. She holds a certification in Early Childhood Development and is nearing completion of her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. LaReau is a proud mother of two children, both of whom attend The Capitol School. Last year, she led the Summer Explorations program for preschoolers, and this year, she has expanded her focus to older students, guiding them through the unique developmental milestones they each experience.
Please fill out all information for each child's first registration. For additional registrations, you only have to complete the required information.
Note: This cost is for the registration fee only. You must pay the balance of the total camp cost by the first day of camp. Information will be provided in your receipt or you can pay here: se2025_sc_balance. You should also receive an email a week prior to the start of camp with payment information. You may also pay in the office.
