Join us for an exciting Summer Explorations adventure where young minds can dive into the wonders of the ocean! STEM: Ocean Explorers is designed for curious 7 to 9-year-olds eager to discover the mysteries beneath the waves.
Throughout this session, learners will engage in hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities that focus on marine life, ecosystems, and the importance of ocean conservation. Each day will feature fun-filled experiments, interactive lessons, and creative projects that encourage teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Highlights of the Camp Include:
- Marine Biology: Explore the fascinating world of underwater creatures and their habitats.
- Ocean Engineering: Design and build mini submarines and boats to navigate through water challenges.
- Environmental Science: Learn about the impact of pollution on oceans and discover ways to protect our marine environments.
- Interactive Workshops: Participate in art, technology, and science workshops that inspire creativity and innovation.
At the end of the session, each participant will showcase their projects in an Ocean Discovery Binder, where families see their explorers' achievements.
Join us for a summer of exploration, creativity, and fun as we become true Ocean Explorers!
Teacher Bio: Mrs. Lauren Amundson is a Tuscaloosa native. She graduated from the University of Alabama in May of 2013 with a B.S. in Elementary Education.
